Composed of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio whihc was sourced from the North Eastern side of the Volcano at 700 meters above sea level, the 2017 Le Sabbie dell'Etna Rosso is marvelous. Showing a wonderful aromatic profile of cherries and strawberries which are laced with crushed stones, spices and smoky gravel nuances that all. On the palate this is elegant and beautifully structured with a wonderful combination of acidity and minerality that persists through the finish. While this is absolutely delightful today, it also has the potential for some short-term cellaring.
