Frank Cornelissen's MAGMA Rosso is considered their Grand Vin and comes from 100 Plus year old vines grown in the Barbabecchi vineyard at 910m. It has an absolutely mesmerizing bouquet lead by a variety or red fruits, including dark cherry, strawberries, black raspberries and red currants. There are also delightful aromas of dark chocolate, leather, blood orange, exotic spice and wild herbs. On the palate this is elegant and supple with the red fruits and spice coming through. The wine is tightly wound with fine tannins and great acidity that persists through the finish. This will need some time, but its qualty is already impossible to miss.
