The 2016 Coltifredi Chianti Classico is a gorgeous showing in this vintage. It begins with fantastic aromatics of cherries, red berries, leather, balsam and hints of licorice that all some together beautifully. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous medium-plus body, which is structured with velvety tannins and displays excellent balance from start to finish. This is showing excellent today, but should also evolve nicely with some additional bottle age.
