The 2018 Cantina di Verona Amarone della Valpolicella is a fantastinc showing which offers aromatics of ripe dark cherries and dried plums, which are accented by exotic spices, chocolate, wet stones and hints of licorice. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied and structured with polished tannins that frame it deep ripe core of juicy dark fruits. This goes on to impress with its outstanding overall balance and texture before it comes to an end with a long, finish that leaves behind delicious ripe flavors lingering. This Amarone is approachable today, but should contine to evolve and gain complexity for at least a decade.
