The 2018 Sapaio is composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon along with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot rounding out the blend. This is a drop-dead gorgeous wine that is loaded with blackberries, black cherries, tobacco, herbs, florals, earth and spices. On the palate this is medium/full-bodied and beautifully structured with polished tannins that are nicely integrated. It goes on to display excellent overall balance with a wonderful depth and finesse leads up to the long velvety finish. This is already absolutely outstanding, however it should also offer a drinking window that span decades.
