The 2012 'Terra di Monteverro' opens to lovely aromatics blackberries, cherries and plums that are joined by nuances of sweet tobacco, spices, earth, herbs and hints of licorice all bursting from the glass. On the palate this is medium-bodied and nicely structured with fine-grained tannins, but shows a bit of austerity as it heads into the finish.
