The Volpolo is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot. This expressive Bolgheri Rosso opens with wonderful aromatics of black cherries and blackberries which are laced with tobacco, herbs, tar, earthy nuances, and even some floral and sweet spices all emerging from the glass. The Palate is medium-plus bodied with a wonderful velvety texture and excellent depth through the finish. This is already showing incredibly well and should go on to offer at least a decade of drinking pleasure. This is one of the best values you will find in all of Italy.
