The 2018 Perseverance Rioja Reserva opens with lovely aromas of dark cherries, plums and toasty oak that mingles with cirtus rind and spices. On the palate this is medium-bodied and refined, with a gorgeous silky texture that continues through the pretty finish. Overall, this is a beautifully made Rioja Reserva that is accessible now, but should also continue to develop with some short term cellaring.
