The 2019 Ribera del Duero Crianza ‘El Pedrosal’ opens to aromas of dark cherries and red plums woven together with leather, spices, herbs, licorice and hints of forest floor all coming together beautifully in the glass. This is most impressive for its elegant, yet brawny structure, which demonstrates remarkable balance and finesse, along with a lovely touch of underlying acidity keeping it fresh and inviting. The finish is long and polished with flavors of red fruits and leathery notes that linger beautifully. This is already extremely compelling, however it also has the potential age gracefully for decades.
