The 2018 Pence ‘Sebastiano’ Syrah coming from the highest elevation vineyard in the Santa Rita HIlls is a beautiful wine from start to finish. This 100% whole cluster fermented Syrah spends 18 months in neutral Feudra. The wine opens with seductive aromas of black raspberry, black tobacco leaf, black pepper, and Spanish olives. The deliciously fragrant nose leads to a palate filled with black plums, dark cherries, gamey charcuterie, smoked beef brisket, roasted black pepper and cigar ash. Silky tannins balance the full structured essence of this wine. 595 cases produced.
