Aged for 16 months sur lie in 63% new French oak and displaying a light lemon and honey core with a watery rim, the nose starts a bit shy but evolves into dazzling notes of white peach, cinnamon-coated green apple, dried sagebrush, sea spray, and white flower blossoms. The phenomenal palate begs to be tasted with additional elements of white mushroom, grilled lemon, and toasted hazelnuts. Heightened acidity, a rounded and rich mouthfeel, and a fruit-forward but bitter herb finish complete the wine. Only 150 cases were made. Highly recommended.
