The 2019 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir from Sanford rests for 11 months in 25% new French oak barrels and sports a beautiful glimmering ruby-red core with a bluish rim. Bright red cherry, raspberry preserves, Christmas spices, blood orange, and hints of umami are present on the nose. I loved the spicy, aromatic and round character of the wine that ends with elevated acidity, rounded tannins, and a red-cherry and black tea finish. 7379 cases produced.
