PAUL LATO Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills ‘John Sebastiano Vineyard Atticus’ 2021

The 2021 Atticus Pinot Noir from Paul Lato displays a medium shimmering neon ruby with a light pink rim in the glass and is aged for approximately 16 months in 66% new French oak. Don’t let the percentage of new oak scare you, this wine is completely balanced, rounded on the palate, and just plain delicious. Crushed strawberries, wild blueberries, and lime zest meld with the pine forest breeze and crushed violet flowers. It’s a touch meaty on the finish, which I adore. Just six barrels produced. Highly recommended.
