Checking in at 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Petit Verdot from the Skellenger Vineyard, it boasts a brooding purple core with a bright neon purple rim in the glass. Toasted oak notes of cedary forest, dried cinnamon stick, crushed peppercorn, and old leather align wonderfully with the black plum, cassis, black currant, and dried mountain blueberry notes. The palate is a touch leaner than the nose, with ample amounts of gorgeous acidity, crunchy tannins, and a spicy, rich finish. Only 75 cases made. Better in 2024. Highly recommended.
