A 100% Zinfandel coming mostly from the Banfield Vineyard, this unbelievably good wine rests for 17 months in 8% new French oak. It’s deliciously zinful (see what I did there?) with gorgeous notes of blackberry, blueberry compote, red cherry, peppery herbs, dried violet and spice. It’s more medium bodied than you would expect from a Zinfandel, and has lovely earthy and savory aspects on the finish. Elegance in a glass that will age for another decade or more. Only 345 cases produced.
