Vines that were planted in the 1880s produce the fruit for this stunning Zinfandel from Limerick Lane. 100% destemmed and aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, it boasts notes of raspberry pie, macerated strawberry, cherry drops, wet stone, dried sage, and purple wildflowers. Elevated levels of acidity pair perfectly with the purity of fruit and earthiness shown on the mid-palate. It’s just a tad hot on the finish but doesn’t interfere with the overall quality, and history, of this gorgeous wine. Just 98 cases were made.
