Another spectacular Chardonnay from the team at Patz & Hall, this one coming from the Dutton Ranch vineyard and is a dead ringer for a beautiful Meursault. It’s aged for 10 months in about 25% new French oak. Bright tension throughout, the focused core of lemon curd, sweet baking spice, smokey apricot skin, yellow apple, cedary thyme pushes this wine to stand out. Immaculately balanced, the finish goes on for ever and ends with a lovely wet chalk and citrusy note. Highly recommended.
