Aged in 45% new French oak for a little less than a year, this wine deserves some attention. Spicy, with notes of ground white pepper and cedary herbs the 2018 Chenoweth Ranch explodes with aromas of boysenberry, black cherry fruit leather, eucalyptus, and pink flower petals. Powerful but very well balanced, the focus is on the excellent levels of acidity, a full body, sweet tannins, and the scrumptious peppery finish. A little over 1000 cases were made.
