PAUL HOBBS Chardonnay, Russian River Valley ‘George Menini Estate’ 2020

Aged for about 15 months in 30% new French oak, the George Menini Estate is a new vineyard for Paul Hobbs, and this is the inaugural release for the wine. Starting off a bit shy on the nose, it evolves quickly and boasts aromas of dried pineapple and tropical fruit with additional notes of apricot skin, toasted hazelnut, pink grapefruit, and sweet cinnamon stick. I love the lengthy and rounded finish that completes this gorgeous Chardonnay. About 400 cases were produced.
