Silky and seamlessly fresh on the palate, the 2019 Katherine Lindsay Estate Pinot Noir from Paul Hobbs is about as good as it gets. Aged for 15 months in 42% new French oak barrels, it’s loaded with perfectly ripe, earth and spiced-laced fruits that reach all ends of the spectrum, from ripe black cherry, to blue huckleberry, to macerated strawberry. Displaying a medium neon ruby-cranberry core with a silvery rim, it boasts rounded tannins, a medium-bodied mouthfeel, and ample acidity alongside flavors of spiced blue plum, dusty earth, and toasted anise, which fills the expansive palate. Highly recommended
