The 2018 Observations can only be purchased directly from the winery, unfortunately for anyone who isn’t on their distribution list. It’s very well defined on the nose with Meyer lemon and clementine notes to start, with additional notes of yellow pear, lemony herbs, fresh spearmint, matchstick, and just a smudge of toasted allspice. It unfolds gorgeously in the glass. The palate is perfectly balanced with a slightly waxy opening, a healthy amount of dried herbs, and a structured and powerful finish. What an incredible wine. Enjoy over the next 15 years. Highly recommended.
