The 2018 La Combette is aged for eleven months in 47% new French oak barrels and boasts a gorgeous medium to dark ruby core with a neon pink rim in the glass. Bountiful aromas and flavors of spiced blue plum, wild blueberry compote, Earl Gray tea, pencil shavings, candied violet petals, and walnut shells abound. Tannins are well integrated, with a spicy core of lemony acidity and a white pepper finish.
