PAUL HOBBS Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley ‘George Menini Estate’ 2021

My favorite Pinot Noir from the 2021 Paul Hobbs Pinot Noirs, the 2021 George Menini Estate features a deep medium ruby core with a glimmering purple rim. Acidity hits hard on the first sip, but it’s balanced by the full-bodied mouthfeel and rounded tannins. There are plenty of forest breeze, black cherry, thimbleberry, freshly dried linens, blood orange, and toasted cinnamon stick aromas and flavors to be had. It’s still a baby and needs a year or two in the bottle to really come alive, but when it does, this will be a fantastic wine to add to your cellar. Highly recommended and Editors Choice.
