A glistening medium ruby core with a light blue rim in the glass, the 2019 McDonald Mountain Pinot Noir spent 15 months in 40% new French oak barrels. Crunchy red and black fruits pop on the palate alongside notes of sea breeze, cinnamon spice, dried herbs, and fresh lavender flowers. It finishes with plentiful acidity and moderate levels of tannin. About 600 cases were produced.
