The Paul Hobbs 2022 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir sports a medium ruby-red core with a lighter pink rim. Mountain huckleberries, dark cherries, sweet clove, and mountain herb aromas take a bit of time to come out, but with a bit of air, the wine evolves. The palate is much the same, with some black tea and wet earth tones that make their way to the mid-palate. Tannins are sweet and smooth, while the medium-plus levels of acidity keeps everything in balance.
