Rich, intense and layered, the 2014 ‘Baby Bear’ Syrah is a wine that impresses from this warm vintage. The nose takes on wonderful smoky tones with sagebrush, black tea and mocha aromas that build in the glass. The push mouthfeel is hugely inviting. Black tea, Asian spice, cigar ash and blackberry compote with coffee ground flavors all come together nicely. This is a fantastic effort that will cellar well for a decade or more.
