This stunning Syrah from Betz sees 100% whole cluster fermentation and spends 16 months in French oak barrels. A wine that pulls you in and doesn’t let go, the nose is heady with black and blue fruits, green olive tapenade, dried rosemary and a touch of red grapefruit. The palate is savory, yet balanced and the tannins are polished. The pronounced flavors of black raspberry, boysenberry, charcuteries, black olive and cedar are rounded out with an unusual, but delicious hint of red flower petals. Ready to drink now, but will be even more incredible with a few years of bottle age. Highly recommended. 230 cases produced.
