This blend of 55% Syrah, 27% Mourvedre and 18% Grenache has a funky and beautiful nose which opens with forest floor, black pepper, salami with dark fruits dominating. The Syrah is evident on the palate and dominates the flavor profile with blackberry, cured meats, black olive tapenade and some fresh lavender undertones. The finish is long and still incredibly tannic despite the 4 years of age. This wine will age for another 8 years or more and is an incredible buy from the Corliss Estate family. Best buy and recommended.
