The Secret Squirrel project comes from the Corliss Estate family and delivers an absolutely fantastic quality of wine for a price point of just $25. Even more incredible is that these wines have been aging for 4 years before release at this price point. Resonating with fresh fig, black plum and cigar ash aromas on the nose with flavors of black cherry, black currant, wild dried herbs on the palate. The acid is high, the tannins are chalky and still need a few years to integrate completely as the finish is still a bit punchy. This wine competes with those that cost 2 times as much. Best buy and recommended.
