Coming from the Horse Heaven Hills and Wahluke Slope vineyards, this 100% Cabernet rests 22 months in 90% new French oak barrels. An outstanding Cabernet made by Randy Dunn, who is known for making some of the best wines in Napa Valley for decades. Deep purple with a neon rim in the glass, I could pick this out as an outstanding Washington Cabernet in a blind tasting in my sleep. It has those gorgeous notes of blackberry, black plum, cassis, dusty country road, tar, pencil shavings and old leather that are absolutely intoxicating. Acidity is medium plus and the crunchy tannins are perfectly balanced with the stunning fruit and herbaceousness of the finish. This wine will be even more delicious with another several years of bottle age. Cellar this and enjoy it for the next 15 years or longer. 3720 cases produced.
