Aging for 22 months in 35% new French oak, this blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with the rest comprising Cabernet Franc and Merlot is spectacular. An explosion of aromas that is predominantly pencil shavings and dried poultry herbs. But don’t let that fool you! Secondary notes of cherry fruit leather, black plum, cassis, vanilla bean, and baking chocolate delivery in spades. Medium acidity and medium plus tannins create a beautiful core for a full-bodied wine with a lengthy finish. Hold for another year or two and then enjoy for a decade or more. 1750 cases produced.
