The Novelty Hill Syrah from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard is aged 18 months in 30% new French oak and 50% neutral, 10% new American oak and 10% neutral. It shows medium to deep ruby-purple and is very meaty and savory on the nose: briny black olive, crushed blackberry, fresh black cherry, toasted coconut, and some floral characteristics. Medium to full bodied and delivers those savory flavors, with grainy tannins with flavors of black fruit, black peppercorn and smokey meats. This is a wonderful Syrah for the price point. 622 cases produced.
