December, 2011 - The 2009 Chateau Smith is one of the best-valued Cabernets I have ever seen from the US. It brings cassis, dark currant, vanilla and anise. Very round and plush on the palate where it picks up some toasted coconut flavors. This is a bit short on the transition into the finish, but it is so tasty who cares. (Drink 2012-2014) - JD
