TIME & DIRECTION Syrah, Royal Slope, ‘SOL Reserve’ 2019

A small production of the best barrels of 95% Syrah that is co-fermented with 5% Viognier, so there isn’t much of this wine to go around. This Syrah possesses massive minerality that’s complemented by ripe blackberry, wild blueberry, dried blood, smoky tobacco leaf, smoked brisket and saline. It’s medium to full-body and powerful on the palate with a silky texture, medium-plus acidity and sweet tannins that should drink well for the next decade or more.
