Fermented with 20% whole cluster and resting for 16 months in 33% new French oak barrels this is a 100% Syrah from the Royal Slope. Showcasing a deep ruby-purple in the glass with a neon pink rim, the nose explodes with notes of violet flowers, boysenberry, black cherry, wild blueberry compote, bacon fat, black olive tapenade, and Christmas spice. The palate has this unique and yummy fresh tar and iron characteristic on the mid-palate. High acidity, medium silky tannins, and a lengthy finish mouthwatering finish complete the wine. Only 70 cases produced.
