Brought up in all stainless steel, the 2021 L’Ecole Chenin Blanc Yakima Valley reveals a nose of carnations and lemons. Light pale gold in color, this medium bodied wine shows all sorts of citrus zest early on as it hits the palate; lemon, kaffir lime, grapefruit and orange are all present. Crisp and clean, and carrying low-medium acidity, it unfurls Granny Smith apple and Anjou pear as it spends time in the glass. This wine retained its clean lines and verve though the finish. A very good value at its price point.
