A blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot comprises the 2020 Alluvio by Force Majeure. Sporting a medium to dark purple core with a neon purple rim in the glass, the wine bursts with aromas of sweet blackberry, dark cherry candy, sweet baking spices, dried mint, and scorched earth tones. The tannins are chalky and haven’t yet had time to integrate, but the lush acidity helps balance the chocolatey finish. Slightly tight and wound up now, so give this a year or two to settle down. Highly recommended.
