The 2017 Fianchetto from Rasa is a mélange of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 19% Cabernet Franc and showcases a deep purple and garnet core with a light blue rim. It rests for 28 months in 80% new French oak barrels and then aged another 42 months prior to release. A bouquet of ripe black plum, dark cherries, violet flowers, wet crushed rock, potpourri, and melted chocolate is lovingly combined in the glass. A dark fruit finish combines with a beautiful earthy-herb finish on the mid-palate.
