The 2020 Holler is mostly Cabernet checking in at 82%, with the rest being 8% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot, and 2% Syrah. It’s aged for 18 months in 35% new French oak barrels. Displaying a neon dark ruby core with a light purple rim, notes of freshly crushed blackberry, cassis, and black tea combine with shades of allspice and rhubarb. For the price point, this wine over-delivers. Balanced on the finish between the sweet black fruit, the crunchy tannins, and the herbaceous and earthy finish, drink this one now or over the next 8 years. 2423 cases made.
