Comprised of 65% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, and 10% Syrah, the 2021 Walla Walla Vintners Red Blend Woven Fields is a well-constructed wine. Medium purple in color, it shows bright cherry on the nose. It delivers a bold but inviting entry, with a firm and plentiful tannic structure. Black cherry, blueberry. bittersweet chocolate and pine needle are present up front. Later in the game menthol and tobacco get involved. This wine needs a few years of cellaring and then should sail for 15 more years. This is a very good wine at its price point.
