30% whole cluster is used during fermentation on the 2020 Conner Lee Syrah. Aged in 33% new French oak, it displays a stunning dark purple core with a shimmering light purple rim. Wild purple flowers, meaty charcuterie, green peppercorn, spicy herbs, blackberry, wild blueberry, tilled earth, dried sage, crushed olives, graphite, and tar form this complex nose. Beautiful tension throughout with a wonderful frame and volume, it finishes with grippy tannins and perfect levels of acidity. 165 cases made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
