VALO Cabernet Franc, White Bluff ‘Conner Lee and Bacchus Vineyard’ 2020

The 2020 Conner Lee and Bacchus Vineyard Cabernet Franc from winemaker Mattias is probably my favorite of the lineup. It’s a 50-50 co-ferment from the Conner Lee and Bacchus Vineyards and gifts a shining dark purple core with a fluorescent pink rim in the glass. Incredibly expressive on the nose with aromas of fresh blackberry, marionberry, tobacco leaf, green peppercorn, and violet flowers, it finishes lengthy with elevated acidity and crunchy tannins. Better in 2024. Only 100 cases made. Highly recommended.
