Another stunning wine from Valo, this time the 2020 Intemporal, is a fun combo of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 30% Merlot that is aged in approximately 60% new French oak. In the glass, it sports a dark purple core with a glimmering neon purple rim. Wonderful tension and racy acidity hits the palate, it’s a bit fresher than some of the other 2020 red wines. I loved the wonderful notes of crushed boysenberry, cassis, powdered graphite, lemony herbs, mountain sage, tobacco leaf, and coffee. Grippy tannins and mouthwatering acidity finish the wine. 220 cases available. Better in 2024.
