100% Syrah blended from Red Mountain AVA, Rocks District AVA, and Royal Slope AVA fruit. Aged sur lie in 60% new French oak barrels. Sporting a deep purple core with a neon purple rim, it starts off with notes of macerated blackberries, black plum, bacon fat, black olive brine, licorice, and grilled cedary herbs. Tannins present themselves beautiful, balanced by the lush acidity and herbaceous finish. This is still a baby, so give it a year or two in bottle before enjoying, and then drink over the next decade or more. 488 cases made. Highly recommended.
