100% Syrah which grows in the Larner Vineyard and spends 19 months in 30% new French oak barrels, this wine is rich, decadent and downright yummy. Notes of black plum, brown mushroom, mocha powder, black olive tapenade, and fresh violet present themselves on the nose and on the palate. The palate shows savory and meaty tones, and brings some olive-brine aspects to the black-fruit driven mid-palate. This is another Paul Lato wine that makes you think about what you are drinking. It’s serious, but elegant at the same time. I could sit here with a glass of Cinematique for hours on end, enjoying the complex nose and experiencing the ever-changing scrumptious palate. Only seven barrels produced. Highly recommended.
