A 100% Grenache from the famed Bien Nacido vineyard, and arguably one of the best vineyards in California, this wine spends 19 months in 25% new French oak barrels. Much richer and more complex than the Lumiere Grenache, the nose explodes with complexity - black raspberry, black cherry, pecorino cheese rind, dried bay leaf, and cracked white peppercorn while the palate delivers a mineral, saline finish. Acidity is surprisingly high, tannins are silky and the finish is long. A gorgeous wine that will cellar for a decade or more. Only four barrels produced.
