The second bottling of this blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache, that rests 22 months in 57% new French oak barrels. Wild blueberry, black cherry, bacon fat, black olive, and wet clay aromas pop from the glass. Inky purple with a neon rim, it’s stunning to look at and admire. The palate has savory notes of cedary herbs, grilled meats, green olive, and tilled earth. Tannins are present but integrated with the lovely acidity and balance. Enjoy this over the next 8 years or so. Only 7 barrels produced.
