Another stunning Paul Lato wine featuring a blend of 65% Syrah with the rest being Grenache, that is aged for 19 months in 57% new French oak barrels. This wine may showcase how the sum of its parts is greater than the whole. Imagine aromas and flavors of spiced black and red cherry, potpourri, black peppered charcuterie, crushed Spanish olives, and a hint of blood orange, all combined into an almost perfect glass of wine. Insanely balanced on the palate with absolutely no rough edges showing through. It’s a wine that I would drink every night if given the chance. Just five barrels produced. Better in 2023 and then enjoy over the next 15 years. Highly recommended.
