FOXEN Syrah, Los Olivos District ‘Williamson-Doré Vineyard’ 2019

Spending 18 months in 3% new French and Hungarian oak and boasts a dark inky purple color in the glass. I love the Syrah’s coming from Foxen, and this one is a stunning example. Showcasing notes of boysenberry, blue plum, cracked black peppercorn, crushed olives, graphite, and bacon fat - it’s an earthy, meaty, tannic, and scrumptious Syrah and one that I would open on any day of the week. Better in 2024. About 332 cases were produced. Highly recommended.
