PAUL LATO Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County ‘S.R.H.’ 2021

Another Paul Lato Pinot Noir that I am tasting for the first time, the 2021 S.R.H. is a lofty effort that boasts a medium glistening neon ruby-purple core with a silvery rim. Fabulous notes of mountain huckleberry, blue raspberry, milk chocolate, lemon verbena, fresh herbs, and a smooch of tangerine oil perfectly hit the palate. Silky tannins, mouthwatering acidity, and a lush, lengthy finish complete this wine. Enjoy this now or over the next 10 years. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
